3 balanced paces, would be an excellent low level all-rounder for someone.

ran over flat and hurdles, jumps xc jumps, coloured poles and isn’t fazed about the height, doesn’t quicken in or out of a fence just takes it all on his stride .

Hacks alone and in company. Doesn’t get silly, even when his company is behaving like a loon, he will happily walk whilst another jumps about and gallops off. Never strong or silly.

Just a very straight forward chap.

Loves his turnout, and does enjoy being ridden even just a good hack about.

Snaffle mouthed at all times, no injuries or vices.

Tj is a smashing 16.2 chesnut Throughbred. He will do anything you put him up to do. He loves cross country and going through fields and jumping he also does like to come back to the arena to do some showjumping.

Tj is so honest and there is not a bad bone in his body. I am very disappointed in having to sell this lovely horse as he has never put a foot wrong and is easy to shoe, box, etc. but I have no time for horses anymore and it would be pity to see such a fine horse go to waist

Due to the sad retirement of my beautiful horse, I am now searching for a steady, trustworthy best friend to enjoy new adventures with. We have a super, kind & knowledgeable family home along with my retired boy, our daughter’s pony & our 2 Shetlands. Our horses are treated as part of our family & receive the absolute best of care & I would be happy to provide references & to keep in touch.

I have ridden for several years & consider myself a knowledgeable & capable rider. However, I am a middle-aged mum who has been mostly out of the saddle over the last four years (due to my horses ongoing health issues) so I am certainly no longer as confident as I used to be! I look forward to enjoying much more sedate adventures nowadays, so I am seeking a laid-back best friend who does not require a fast-paced way of life or need riding most days to remain safe & sane.

We will be enjoying leisurely hacks, attending organised pleasure rides, lots of forest trips & maybe the odd clinic but nothing competitive. I will often be hacking alongside my young daughter on her pony so it is especially important that I find a truly steady, trustworthy type who I can depend on.
Our horses are kept at home with us, so he/she needs to be gentle natured, enjoy attention & be safe to handle on the ground as the children are often around with me.

We live in a rural area & although we generally meet very little traffic, it is likely to be a tractor/farm vehicle, so it is very important that my new horse is trustworthy around this type of traffic. Although I will often hack out with my daughter or friends, I will also be hacking alone at times so he/she must be happy/safe hacking out solo.

I do appreciate that no horse is ‘perfect’ or ‘bombproof’ & I am open to compromise but please do just be honest about any possible known ‘issues’ as I will not buy unseen & would wish to have the horse vetted.

We are based in Norfolk so ideally looking for something in or around East Anglia but would travel further if plenty of info, videos/photos could be provided beforehand. I have a sensible budget & very relaxed & loving forever home for the right horse.

Gorgeous George is a 16.2h 13 year old registered warmblood bay gelding. He is absolutely stunning inside and out and looks a real picture of health with his gleaming bright coat. He catches the eye where ever he goes with his generous kind eye. He is a real quality horse with very good conformation, clean limbs, no blemishes and straight movement. He is a very nice stamp who would appeal to a lady, gent or a competent teenager. He would be perfect for someone wanting to do some dressage, hacking, pleasure rides and clinics. He loves a varied lifestyle and really thrives on his work, yet he doesn’t need daily riding as never gets sharp or fresh. He has a wonderful friendly temperament and is perfect to do in all ways and forms a very strong bond with his owner. He is just a real pleasure who will put a smile on your face very day.

George has 3 very good paces and schools beautifully on the flat giving you a real quality feeling. He has a great walk where he really opens his shoulder and has a big over track. His trot is nice and active with lots of adjustability through the paces within the trot. His canter is very uphill and comfortable; you could sit to it all day long. He works in a correct outline between hand and leg, he’s nice and light in the hand and likes an elastic contact, he wouldn’t like a heavy handed rider. He is snaffle mouthed. He is a forward going ride who is nicely responsive to aids and transitions. He is a real pleasure to ride as you don’t have to keep nagging him with your leg and equalling you don’t have to keep pulling him back. He appreciates a quiet rider with some feel who is used to riding a responsive quality horse. He is a safe ride who makes his rider feel confident as he isn’t at all spooky or sharp. He is the sort of horse where you have to learn his buttons to get the most out of him but he is very rewarding as he makes you ride properly. He is schooling at elementary level and is established with lateral work. He has competed lots at unaffiliated preliminary and novice dressage in his previous home with good scores showing lots of promise to move up the levels. He is ready to affiliate and go out and compete BD. He has also been out to lots of clinics including pole work clinics which he really enjoys. He is easy to take out to places and rides the same as he does at home filling you with confidence.

George loves to hack both alone and in company and really is a superb hack. He is safe and sensible but has so much quality too which is hard to come across. He is like a Rolls Royce to ride, he is nicely forward going and has lots of manners. He hacks straight out on a main through road and is good with traffic, just likes a little space from big traffic like lorries and tractors, I just pull into a driveway and stand and wait for the lorry to pass and he stands rock solid and patiently waits. He is confident in his own skin and doesn’t rely on other horses for his confidence out hacking. I hack him out for miles on his own and he gives me such a lovely ride. He is very sensible in open spaces too and you can just hold the buckle and he will just walk along without trying to rush off. He is fabulous on pleasure rides, I feel he really loves these; he will go in any order in a calm relaxed manner. He is perfect to ride on the beach, again he is very chilled out and waits to be asked to trot and canter. He gave me and my friends so much fun on the beach; we all had a ride on him! He is amazing to canter along river banks; he isn’t spooky with birds flying out in front of him. A friend of mine has hacked him out a few times who has recently had a baby and hasn’t ridden for months and George instilled so much confidence into her and made her feel very safe. He really is a delight to hack and will offer his rider so much fun. He is the definition of a posh hack.

George has evented in the past and does have a bold scopey jump however I feel that he doesn’t enjoy the jumping anymore, he doesn’t stop at jumps, he just rushes. I haven’t personally jumped him though as I bought him purely for dressage and pleasure rides/hacking. So there is no reason why he couldn’t learn to enjoy jumping with an experienced jump rider however I would prefer him to go to a flatwork/hacking home as I think a lot of George and want him to be happy.

George has such a fantastic temperament, he is a real gentleman with manners to urn. He loves people and having attention, he forms such a strong bond with his owner. He is perfect to lead, groom, tack up, with the farrier, to clip ect. He loves and thrives off his routine of night turnout and coming in during the day, however hes great with the reverse and equally he stayed stabled 24/7 for odd weeks when it got too wet to turnout. He turns out individually or mixes well with other geldings. He is very easy to have around and always puts a smile on my face. He is such a lovely interactive character that just fills your heart. George must go to a 10* home where he will be loved and cherish, he really deserves this!

George would love to go to a home where he will get a varied workload with some schooling, hacking, fun rides and the odd clinic thrown in, he loves variety and also lunges and does ground work very well too. He would make someone a superb dressage horse, posh hack and fun pleasure ride horse. He really does have so much to offer and will be a horse of a life time! Nancy is an adorable sweet little mare, who has taken everything in her stride. Initially backed as a 3yo then turned away.

She is now back in work and is excelling at everything asked of her.

She’s the most genuine fun little mare, who will always try her best for you. I took her to Somerford in the 80 acre XC jump field with lots of camps and clinics going on around her and she was foot perfect. She had a go at jumping into water and popped over a couple of ditches like a little pro, I was so proud of her.

She's been out hacking on her own and with others. I’ve got on and off her to do gates, done a river crossing and she has been on the roads, seemingly unfazed by everything.

She’s coming along nicely in the arena, she can walk, trot and canter on both reins and is working nicely towards prelim level dressage.

She has also had a go at showjumping and will happily give spooky fillers a go.

She’s the type you can take off on your own and just go have fun with. Loads straight onto a wagon or trailer and happily stands quietly on the box whilst I’m riding others.

She’s easy to deal with. I have clipped her feathers and she has had her first set of front shoes on

She will live in or out, with others or individually. I have left her on her own at the yard and she wasn’t at all bothered.

Currently out during the day and in on a night. No vices or quirks.

No health issues and was fully vetted when I bought her. Certificate available for inspection to serious buyers.

She is showing lots of potential and talent to become a high end riding club / grassroots superstar. Beautiful stamp of a horse who is ideal for an amateur to work away with and have lots of fun doing so.

Obviously, whilst she is a really lovely and genuine little mare, she won’t be suitable for a novice / nervous rider, as she is only 4 so hasn’t been under saddle long herself and is still learning her trade.

Silvie is a 16.2hh 5yo ISH. She is a good stamp of horse with plenty of bone, she still has plenty of finishing up growing to do, but is a substantial ride and comfortably carries a man as well as being owned by a small lady rider.

Silvie was imported from Ireland and professionally broken in England and has been slowly brought on over the last year. She has always been easy and straight forwards.

Silvie is great in traffic, farm machinery, motorbikes etc. She hacks alone or in company and doesn’t nap. She is good to ride around the fields and doesn’t light up, will happily canter in a group at the front or back.

Silvie has hunted 5 days with the Fernie. She hunted in a snaffle, she was well mannered at the meet and was always brave and careful with her jumping. She was happy to leave the rest of the field to come home away from the other horses.

She has attended many shows, training shows, and been schooling to lots of venues. She has competed UA SJ, Dr, ODE, Hunter trials. She has attended fun rides. She is well behaved to stand on the lorry or trailer and she travels and loads easily.
Silvie works well on the flat, she has a soft mouth and correct paces. She will excel in dressage, has a trainable attitude towards her work and has just started learning her lateral movements. She is a super polite ride and very rhythmical.

She is not suitable for a total novice home, purely as she is a 5yo and still in the early stages of her education, but she is safe enough for example a novice partner/friend to ride her.

She doesn’t get overly fresh or silly and is about as level headed as a 5yo with her education can be!

She is good to shoe, clip, mane pull, bath, load, travel, stand on lorry. She is happily turned out with one other or in a group.

Silvie has no sweet itch, splints, or any health issues and is open to vet.

She has a couple of small sarcoids- one is a flat one and one is the size of a pea- neither interfere with tack.

No loans, no tack or rugs included. Excellent trial facilities and genuine sad reason for sale.

She would be suited to a riding club, hunting, dressage, Allrounder home where a competent amateur would have lots of fun producing and putting their own stamp on her!
