Alberti-Benefit OB (Bertie) is an extremely kind and handsome gelding with the breeding and potential to become a stunning dressage horse. This chap is bred and owned by a British equine vet, with a passion for producing a small number of quality performance horses. Bertie has been professionally backed this spring by Connie Colfox of CC Young Horse Specialist LLP. He is now ready for the next step in his training, with a new owner who will ensure his continued and careful development as a successful dressage horse.

Bertie started life on a rural and spacious West Country equine stud and veterinary practice, with stable mate Adelaide OB. Sired by Benefit and out of Woodlander Malibu, he has the genes to make him an excellent dressage prospect. Bertie has been expertly looked after by his veterinary owner, with great care and attention given to his handling from the very start. He has excellent manners both in the stable and in the field, and he is great for the farrier.

Bertie is very easy to handle on the ground and under saddle, and he was ridden out for the first time by his current owner at the end of March. Bertie has a wonderful floating gait, and shows excellent movement in walk, trot and canter. He is an incredibly exciting prospect. Only serious contenders with the right outlook will be considered.

• Benny is a very talented 17hh 8 year old gelding and will go far in the right hands. He has potential in any discipline but has been focused on showjumping.

He has show jumped through winter up to 1.10 competing and up to 1.35 training, been XC schooling, hunted and to arena hires.

He would excel in either a pure showjumping, hunting or an eventing home. Like all competion horses he has his quirks but never anything silly or dangerous.

He is such a lovely person to have on the yard and very easy for day to day activities. easy to shoe, load, travel, ect.

Benny is a keen, athletic gelding, so in that respect wouldn’t be suited to a novice or someone looking for a kick along.

He loves having a job to do and loves to please.

Very sad sale. Finn works lovely on the flat and produces a nice outline, showing potential for an excellent dressage test. He has a comfortable canter with flying changes on both reins.

Finn has not competed much however, He recently went out to Speetley Equestrian Centre and jumped clear, round the clear round.

Up to date with everything. Good for the farrier, vet, dentist and to clip.

Finn is a safe hack. He’s happy to go alone and in company.

Finn is ready to put your own stamp on, enjoys the work and willing to learn. With the right rider he will make a super all rounder.

Currently stabled with Phillip Curtis Showjumper in Doncaster for schooling to further his jumping education.

Lightly backed summer 23 then turned away for the winter. Brought back to work Jan 24 where he has shown he is willing, brave and bold with scope to burn.

Has popped some small fences and logs with rider. Ridden through water. Loose jumped 1.20m with ease.

Schooling sweetly on the flat with 3 lovely paces.

Very sweet natured boy who loves fuss and attention. Lovely to have on the yard. Not a nasty bone in his body.

Slight scar on hind leg.

Would make fabulous eventer.

TC Spirit Bounce

TC is one in a million and one of a kind! The most sane and sensible,honest and genuine mare with the biggest of hearts!

TC is an approx 17/17.1hh 8yr old ISH mare by the sire Spirit House and the dam TC Spirit Bounce. She has plenty of blood to cross the country and make the time if required yet has a very laid back attitude and level head to everything asked of her! She has 3 lovely paces and a brave and bold agile jump. She has proven to be successful across all disciplines this teamed with her fantastic temperament and her ability to take both a more experienced and novice rider make her a sort very hard to find!

This horses temperament is second to none! She is never sharp whether ridden once a week or once a month! She has been there and done it all from pony club to affiliated eventing where she has placed well each time. She never takes offence and doesn’t care about rider errors! She will always keep going to a fence however wrong the rider gets it and is the most honest horse you will find!

She has lovely paces and a flashy big trot, scoring lows 30s/25s across the dressage board. Unfortunately with time commitments she hasn’t been able to go further with her flat work. But will always pick up from where she’s left off.

A superb hunter with absolute perfect manners on the hunting field! The biggest of days and the biggest of country she is the same simple straightforward and level headed horse at all times! Stands perfectly at the meet and ques well. TC has helped whipped in the past 3/4 seasons and has been ridden by the huntsman on an odd occasion. She is perfect with hounds and bikes. Often likes to be upfront as she normally has a job to fulfill but is happy to stand back if asked.

Lovely to have on the yard, lovely stable manners, no vices, never marish. Perfect to box(trailer/lorry),shoe,clip, catch, wash and plait ect. Doesn’t need daily ridden work or turnout to stay sane. Turns out with mares or geldings. Hacks alone and in company, perfect in traffic, never fizzes up in open spaces.

This is such a hard decision to make as Fritz is a much loved part of our family but unfortunately due to my daughters college & other commitments it would be unfair to keep him as he wouldn’t be getting the time/use that he deserves.

Fritz would best be suited to a Rc/Pc lower level competition/all rounder home as he thrives on doing a bit of everything.

He moves beautifully on the flat and can do a lovely dressage test

He’s done arena eventing, SJ & ODE’s up to 90-1m but is happiest jumping around 80 (If you are very competitive and want to go up the heights then he is not for you as he will switch and lose interest)

He is excellent hacking out, beach rides, fun rides & open spaces and ridden in a snaffle for everything.

He’s great in traffic and is good to lead off also
Fritz has trail hunted with The Cresselly Hunt by my daughter & myself which he enjoys and is a true gent at all times.

He’s 100% to do in all ways and is up to date with everything.

We’ve had the pleasure of owning buzz since a foal and has proved to be a beautiful horse on the flat , with a natural bold/athletic jump. He is a charming horse with a likeable attitude and temperament who has been given the tools to excel in many different disciplines.

Buzz has always shown a great willingness to learn and will always try very hard to please. Buzz is well schooled on the flat, and he does show enough to excel in this sphere. He has enjoyed training at a higher level this year,and with time and training will continue to improve.

Buzz has a lovely, naturally built frame and top line and also plenty of bone. He is a very nice “sit on”, with a good shoulder and length of rein which means he scores well in the dressage. He has a big engine, and great ground covering paces. His breeding is typical of a modern sport horse, with plenty of blood.

We have given buzz plenty of competition experience which he has thoroughly enjoyed picking up some consistent results at BE100 along the way and including qualifying for Cornbury 5 y/o Championship. He is very easy to take away in the lorry and will not make a competition day any more stressful than it needs to be.

Buzz is a firm favourite on the yard, he’s always there for a cuddle, he loves being with people. He is a pleasure to hack, and fun to work with in the arena. He has a bold personality, is not nappy in any way. This is a very sad sale of a horse we’ve loved to produce from the beginning. He is great to load, clip,bath ,shoe, turn out, catch.

This is the ultimate 2* cross country machine - brave, bold and always looking for the next set of flags. He is the horse you can trust to bring his rider safely home over the biggest of tracks and he is happy to jump from any stride and out of any ground. He has taken his last 3 teenage girl riders successfully from BE90 to 2* instilling them all with the utmost confidence to tackle any cross country course.

He is an out and out XC schoolmaster at the 2* level although at the end of last year stepped up to Intermediate level, jumping easily round a huge Kelsall track (one of only 2 clear XC rounds in the OIU21 section). He has jumped up to BS Foxhunter and is well schooled on the flat finding 3* level work easy at home.

He has plenty of scope SJ and flourishes with a quiet confident rider. Dressage would be his weaker phase and this can sometimes lead to inconsistent scores. However, he is capable of doing a beautiful test.

He is a fit and athletic competition horse and would therefore not be suitable for a novice. You will want to be a competent and gutsy rider who enjoys a forward going ride. Would suit an ambitious teen looking to gain valuable experience for future teams.

He is easy to do in every way with super manners on the ground, is a pleasure to have on the yard and enjoys a relationship with his rider. Hunted in his previous home and we are still in touch with his old owners. No veterinary issues, has never had a lame day and always trots up sound following competition. Clean X Rays 2022.

Fully fit, is out competing and is ready to crack on with the season piloted by his new rider.

Gerry is the kindest soul we have had on the yard and has such a wise head on young (and rather lovely) shoulders.

Strikingly handsome horse with lovely movement. Very well put together. Produced slowly and correctly, ready to start the next chapter of his education.

He would suit a range of disciplines and would be a true gentlemanly allrounder. He has cross country schooled showing a real zest for the job, he is bold and brave but very sensible. Would make a fabulous event horse but equally moves well enough to stay between the white boards. Brave jumper starting to show good technique over poles.

He just has the most fantastic attitude and gives everything a try, one of the nicest young horses we have had the pleasure of producing. He is very well related, a close relation of his is competing at 4* and another aiming for PSG dressage.

He has done arena hires and a training show, he has behaved impeccably throughout. He is ready to start doing more competitively, as he does more his price will increase.

Great to hack, shoe, box etc. I honestly can’t say enough kind words about this horse he would make a great mother/daughter share. Horses like him do not come along often. We also think he would be an incredible hunter.
